Autotask Integration

In order to get the Autotask and DeskDirector integration running smoothly, some items must be set up.

Approvals

Approvals in DeskDirector work by leveraging both queue statuses and request types. As a result you end up with a very flexible approval system.

Approval Setup

In order to setup approvals, just follow the instructions below:

  • Create three statuses on each Autotask queue you intend to have tickets that need approval. These statuses can have any name you like but one will be needed for tickets that require approval, one for if that approval was given, and one if it was declined.
  • The names of these three statuses must be added to the general configs section of the admin console.
  • Remember to set the approvers in the Maintain Contacts section.
